The Capital District Susu Women’s Club was established 22 years ago with the goal of continuing African financial investment practice. In addition, it was organized to strengthen sisterhood and to create healthy financial opportunities for its partners. The Susu Women’s Club supports Capital District communities by providing scholarships and recognition awards.
A BIG THANK YOU to the CLINTON CUDAS SWIM CLUB for their generous donation. For the second year in a row, the team’s swim-a-thon made a huge SPLASH, raising $1000 in funds to help support the needs of the children at LUC (and maybe even allow them some time to relax and enjoy some swimming of their own). Great job everyone!
Installation of solar suitcase at Wondo Health Center Gombora Woreda Hadiya Zone completed in September 2016. This suitcase installation was part of Weema International’s “Light Up Hadiya Campaign” which will provide solar electricity to 25 health centers throughtout the region. Belayneh Woldemariam accompanied the WEEMA International team for solar suitcase installation at the Wondo Health Center Gobora Woreda Hadiya Zone. This was just one of 26 clinics that are to receive these potentially life-saving devices through Weema’s Light Up Hadiya project. We are grateful for having had the opportunity to participate in this initiative.
